Dr. Jailyn Avila, a board-certified emergency physician with a Focused Practice Designation in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound (AEMUS), is a leader in point-of-care ultrasound, clinical education, and faculty development. She has over a decade of experience in academic medicine, serving as an Associate Professor and Ultrasound Director at the University of Kentucky and currently as Co-Ultrasound Fellowship Director at United Health Services Southern California Medical Education Consortium.

Dr. Avila has led ultrasound training at Butterfly Network and developed curricula for major medical institutions. A sought-after speaker, she has delivered 100+ lectures and workshops worldwide on emergency ultrasound and LGBTQIA+ healthcare. Passionate about mentoring future healthcare leaders, she serves on multiple professional committees, including the California ACEP Health Equity Committee and the Emergent Medical Associates CME Committee.
